Seasonal greetings......from The Stables and the Hen House
A big thank you to all who have stayed with us this year – we enjoy sharing our special bit of Wiltshire with you and are thrilled that so many of you make return visits and during 2018 we have welcomed many old friends to The Stables and The Hen House as well as making new ones!
What a Summer...
If I had to sum up our summer in four words it would be.....
Weddings, kestrels, ducklings and drought!
The drought bit is pretty obvious – like everyone else we’ve been loving it (endless evenings sitting outside until dark, BBQ and not having to carry a coat “just in case”) and hating it (can’t sleep, too hot to work and no grass for our cows) at the same time.
The upside to a winter that seemed to last too long is that spring seems sweeter than ever – the colours are brighter, the blossom smells stronger and the skies seem bluer.
